Our team of architects worked to evaluate existing and current programs, the needs for future growth as well as developing a vision for the future campus. As part of that vision, Phase 1 of the master plan begins with a new 90,000 sf next generational academic Building which includes a 1,000 seat Theater, Drama Classrooms, Visual Art Spaces along with flexible and collaborative core classrooms. Additional “next-generation” spaces have also been planned such as Digital Film | Broadcast Studio, a Fabrication Lab, and two Maker Spaces supporting the school’s 3D Printing and Engineering | Robotics programs. Phase 1 will also include renovations to Main Hall, Cass Hall and a major expansion to Haggar Hall providing additional student dining and a more integrated connection between Central Administration and the rest of the school.

The new East Campus Academic and Performing Arts Building is nestled into the fabric of the existing campus planning and architecture. The curved building form is respectful of the existing central axis focused on the formal and celebrated main entry while softening the overall feel of the architecture. The view from the soccer field shows a careful placement of the new building while saving many of the campus’ large existing trees. The proposed window openings, size and proportion correspond to more traditional and classic design found on campus while also utilizing the legacy red brick and cast stone found on Main Hall. The west elevation view begins to reveal a large gateway where students, teachers and parents are welcomed and encouraged to enter the new college-like and future-ready building structure rich with new and exciting learning opportunities.
