Redefining the High School Athletics Experience.
The Bishop Lynch Athletic Master Plan is the final piece of a 10-year campus transformation. Located on the east side of campus, the master plan includes a new 65,000-square-foot, two-story athletic facility featuring updated locker rooms, coaches’ offices, an expanded and modernized athletic training room, and a larger wrestling room on the ground level. The upper level houses team film study rooms, a vastly expanded weight room overlooking the competition football field, additional locker rooms and coaches’ offices, and a new presidential suite that doubles as a student study center during school hours. All of these spaces are connected by an outdoor roof terrace that wraps around the south edge of the track, creating a unique, dynamic, and engaging game-watching experience. This new facility will be truly one-of-a-kind for a high school athletics complex and will provide Bishop Lynch with the tools to continue and expand upon the school’s rich athletic traditions.
The core programmatic elements—including athletic and team locker rooms, weight rooms, team rooms, and coaches’ offices—are positioned along the south end zone while also engaging the athletic viewing areas for baseball, football, and practice fields. A distinctive aspect of the design is the connective bridging across all viewing areas, paired with a mix of open pavilion and traditional seating, creating a truly individualized athletic viewing experience.
Together, these design elements establish a premier athletics hub that enhances both player performance and fan engagement, reinforcing Bishop Lynch’s commitment to excellence on and off the field.
