  • Project Architect

    Responsible for design, planning, development and execution of design documentation including reviewing city codes, consultant coordination, organizing and coordinating project team assignments. Project Architect shall exercise guided judgment in evaluation, selection, and use of standard techniques, solves problems when encountered, and receives guidance on complex projects. This position is 100% in office.

    Education

    • Professional degree in Architecture.

    • Professional licensure preferred, but not required.

    Experience

    • 4-12 years of architectural experience.

    • K-12 experience preferred.

    • Proficiency in Revit, graphic design, and 3D visualization software.

    • Experience in all phases of design process. Familiar with building codes, specifications, and building systems.

    • Understanding of project management process. Manages and directs work efforts of junior staff.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Displays collaborative and professional work ethic.

    Design

    • Applies intermediate elements and principles of design.

    • Demonstrates intermediate understanding of design practice methods.

    • Ability to create preliminary design studies and options.

    • Works with designers to coordinate Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documentation phases.

    • Works with Design Director to execute design goals.

    • May research intermediate building systems in support of overall design.

    Technical

    • Prepares construction documents, plans and details; creates red-line revisions.

    • Implements code, accessibility and zoning analysis.

    • Prepares mock-ups of drawing packages.

    • Coordinates specifications and manages project deliverables.

    • Creates and develops construction documents in all capacities with minimal supervision.

    • Integrates engineering systems into the overall project documents.

    • Self-directed with all aspects of Construction Administration.

    Management

    • Self-organizes and plans accordingly to execute tasks.

    • Self performs within the constraints of project budgets and schedules.

    • Creates agendas and coordinates minutes with Project Manager.

    • Presents progress and updates to client and design team.

    • Coordinates consultants and vendor assignments.

    • Takes accountability and ownership for job functions.

    • Cartoons drawing set.

    • Mentors junior staff.

    Project Designer

    Develops creative conceptual, schematic, and design development solutions. Displays the ability to work with the Design Director and Senior Project Designer to study design options and present to the team. Responsible for guiding the team through implementation of schematic design into early design development documentation. Strong work ethic and dedication to design excellence is essential. This position is 100% in office.

    Education

    • Professional Degree in Architecture.

    Experience

    • 2-6 years of architecture experience preferred.

    • Proficiency in Revit, graphic design, and 3D visualization software.

    • Basic understanding of design principles and theory. High level of creativity, innovative thinking, and problem solving.

    • Strong sketching, graphic, and computer skills.

    • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate with team members and follow instructions.

    Design

    • Applies intermediate elements and principles of design.

    • Understands overall project goals, constraints and client values.

    • Works in tandem with Design Director evaluating project requirements.

    • Understands scope, construction budget, and schedule requirements.

    • Creates Schematic Design presentation, drawings, models, and narratives.

    Technical

    • Knowledge of intermedia building materials, constructability, costs, and codes.

    • Works with consultants.

    • Evaluates design alternatives based on site and code requirements.

    • Applies intermediate building technology and systems to design applications.

    Management

    • Organizes and plans accordingly to execute tasks.

    • Takes accountability and ownership for job functions.

    • Participates in marketing efforts.

    • May lead design presentations to prospective clients.

    • Works alongside functional organization of the project team.

    Architectural Staff

    Architectural staff provides assistance throughout the building design process, including programming, preparation of design and construction documents, presentation materials, schematic design, design development and contract documents, model building, renderings and construction administration activities under routine guidance This position is 100% in office.

    Education

    • Professional degree in Architecture.

    • Does not have to have professional licensure.

    Experience

    • 0-6 years of architecture experience.

    • Proficiency in Revit, graphic design, and 3D visualization software.

    • Basic understanding of architectural principles and theory.

    • Basic understanding with project design and construction materials and methods.

    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to collaborate with team members and follow instructions.

    • Participation in program requirements for Intern Development Program (IDP).

    • LEED AP or within 6 months of hire.

    Design

    • Applies basic elements and principles of design.

    • Assists in preparation of drawings for SD and DD.

    • Assists in design sketches, renderings, models and graphics for presentation materials.

    • Provides design support including computer modeling and renderings.

    • Compiles data, performs elementary design computations.

    • Adheres to firm and project goals of design excellence and execution.

    Technical

    • Assists in preparation of CDs including details, sections and schedules.

    • Assists in production of amendments, addenda and bulletins.

    • Performs routine area calculations according to specified standards.

    • Assists field observations to monitor progress of construction.

    • Performs tasks according to G|P Design Standards.

    Management

    • Organizes and plans accordingly to execute tasks.

    • Self-checks work for accuracy, omissions and legibility.

    • Takes accountability and ownership for job functions.

    • Works alongside functional organization of the project team.

    Interior Designer

    Develops creative conceptual, schematic and design development solutions. Displays the ability to work with the Senior Project Designer and Senior Interior Designer to study design options and present to the team. Provides assistance throughout the design process which may include basic design plans, construction contract documents, elevations and details, reflected ceiling plans, millwork design, furniture layouts, ergonomic dimensions, finish plans, color plans and schedules. This position is 100% in office.

    Education

    • Professional degree in Interior Design.

    • Professional registration preferred but not required.

    Experience

    • 0-6 years of architecture experience.

    • Proficiency in Revit, graphic design, and 3D visualization software.

    • Intermediate understanding of design principles and theory, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

    • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate with team members and follow instructions.

    Design

    • Applies intermediate elements and principles of design.

    • Basic understanding of form, scale, color, texture, and pattern.

    • Basic understanding of light, balance, and proportion.

    • Applies established interior design standards.

    • Assists in the development of design solutions for review.

    • Assists with aids such as finish boards or PPT presentations.

    Technical

    • Performs intermediate drawing documentation.

    • Researches custom interior products.

    • Maintains resource materials.

    • Exposed to interior design specifications and industry standards.

    Management

    • Organizes and plans accordingly to execute tasks.

    • Self-checks work for accuracy, omissions, and legibility.
