The new 3,200 student High School 4 for Northwest ISD, gracefully integrated across 134 acres located in northeast Fort Worth, features diverse grading challenges and site constraints greatly influencing the building design while allowing for unique programmatic adjacencies and next generational student learning experiences. The site will include a multi and split-level 730,000 square foot high school, a 7,500-seat varsity football stadium, two practice fields, baseball and softball fields, tennis courts along with the associated parking. The new comprehensive high school will also include a 3,200-seat Athletics Arena, two Auxiliary Gyms, an Indoor Practice Facility, Weight Rooms, Locker Rooms, a 1,200-seat Theater, Fine Arts Classrooms, Cafeteria, Media Center, Core Academic Classrooms, a CTE Academy, and Administrative Offices and support spaces.

The design emphasizes student connectivity, engagement, transparency, and community by integrating academics and athletics into one cohesive environment, with fine arts, STEM, specialty CTE programs, and athletics integrated into the campus fabric and future-ready student experience. A primary circulation spine connects core educational spaces, forming an academic ribbon of four distinct learning houses woven through open and flexible, yet protected, outdoor learning environments that provide interior natural daylight and central gathering areas for each house. Collaboration areas, both inside and out, highlight all levels of the new design, with flexible learning environments being a key focus of the overall planning strategy. The academic experience, punctuated with a beautiful, state-of-the-art, multi-purpose performing arts theater, creatively combines and integrates academic programmatic requirements fostering a strong sense of community for the next generation of Northwest ISD teachers and students.
