Phillip McBride
Meet Phillip McBride, one of our Senior Architectural Staff members.
Phillip is a Texas transplant, starting out in Houston and relocating to Dallas. He was born and raised in a rural area of Illinois but embraced the city life when he went to college in Chicago. He was inspired by the way people experienced architecture being immersed in a city with so many famous structures.
Phillip completed his Architecture degree at the Illinois Institute of Technology, with a curriculum developed by Architect Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe. After college, Philip pursued the rewarding work of educating students with special needs. He finds working in the educational industry rewarding, which made the transition to architecture for school districts an obvious choice.

Phillip and his wife have a young toddler and Boston Terrier pup who motivate him to do his best every day.
During Phillip’s time at Glenn|Partners, Phillip is working on projects for J.J. Pearce High School.
In his free time, Phillip enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, watching tv/movies, and being a lifelong learner. He enjoys listening to podcasts and audiobooks on technology, architecture, environmental topics, and other subjects.

Fun Fact
I grew up in a town of 100 people- there were more people on my college dorm floor than in my hometown.
First Moment when you realized you wanted to be an Architect
In high school, I was a natural problem solver and drawn to the arts. I was able to merge the two in my drafting/CAD class and realized I found my future career path.
