Dallas College’s Brookhaven Campus Early College Center (ECC) is a 43,000-square-foot facility created in partnership with the Dallas ISD and Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD that bridges the gap between secondary and post-secondary education. Designed as a clear pathway to college, the ECC enables high school students to earn tuition-free college credits and industry certifications while completing their high school diploma—accelerating their transition to a four-year university or high-demand career and preparing them as globally-minded, skilled citizens.

Serving students from multiple school districts, the ECC provides a welcoming hub for meeting with teachers, studying, collaborating, and gathering between classes. Symbolizing the journey to higher education, physical pathways leading to the building shape outdoor seating and gathering areas, shielded from sun and rain by native landscaping and building canopies. This convergence of pathways creates a safe haven for growth and community, seamlessly blending the building and site to foster meaningful connections. Inside, flexible, future-ready classrooms, science labs, and administrative areas surround a transparent, multipurpose student commons designed for dining, collaboration, and lectures.

The ECC blends traditional campus materials such as brick and glass with contemporary elements, including durable concrete walls that define outdoor spaces and metal window fins that enhance transparency while optimizing solar performance. Integrated with existing pedestrian networks, the Early College Center serves as a central hub—physically and symbolically—supporting student connection, academic advancement, and a confident step toward the future.

“Glenn|Partners has proven to be an excellent partner in developing our Early College Center. I continue to be impressed by their creativity and their responsiveness to our requests and concerns. This enclave will provide our students state-of-the-art facilities and convenient access to our entire campus.”
